Our ingredient spotlight turns this time to the much-loved tomato. Most delicious when allowed to ripen in open fields and sunny climates, bright and glossy skin conceals a fleshy and sweet centre. Tomatoes offer a huge variety and are all indispensable to the Mediterranean diet. Is it a fruit? Vegetable? It doesn’t matter to us, we will continue to chop, cook and savour this hearty staple forever.
L’AQUILA’s range of sun-dried and semi-dried roasted tomato products are sourced from the sunny Italian and Turkish countryside, where they are grown in the perfect conditions for beautiful form and flavour. Our selected tomatoes are plump and juicy when picked, then processed carefully to maintain a vibrant colour, and optimum texture.
